Not necessarily. As long as we have access to the vehicle, a power supply, and water, you're welcome to leave us to it. Many customers just hand over the keys and check back when we're done. We'll always walk you through the results before we leave.

For a Signature Detail you'll need access to a hosepipe and an outdoor plug socket — we'll always confirm this when we book in. For paint correction, ceramic coating, or full-day jobs, reliable access to both is essential. If you're not sure what you have available, just mention it in the quote form and we'll work it out together.

A Signature Detail on a standard car typically takes 3–5 hours depending on size and condition. Paint correction adds 2–4 hours on top of that. Ceramic coating is usually a full day job once prep, correction, and application are included. We'll always give you a time estimate when we confirm your booking.

Machine polishing removes paint defects by levelling the clear coat so whether a scratch can be fully removed depends on how deep it goes. If it catches your fingernail, it's likely through the clear coat and into the base coat, which polishing can't fix. We'll always inspect first and be honest about what's achievable before we start.

Wax sits on top of the paint surface and lasts a few weeks to a few months depending on the product and conditions. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to the clear coat and creates a permanent (or semi-permanent) layer of 9H hardness. It's far more durable, hydrophobic, and UV resistant but it requires proper preparation to apply correctly. A wax is good maintenance; a coating is a long-term investment.

Light rain during a wash stage isn't usually a problem we work around British weather. However, for paint correction, ceramic coating application, or if conditions are genuinely bad, we'll reschedule to a day that lets us deliver the right result. We'll always be upfront and never rush a job because of conditions.
